February TBR
Books not on my Feb TBR that I ended up reading:
(and if you're wondering why those add up to 13 read books and not 12, it's because I actually ended up reading Cocky Roommate on Jan 31st, haha.)

I also had another two books I ended up DNFing that weren't on my original TBR, and I've got another two I'm currently reading (Ash Princess and Spinning Silver). Laying it out like this, I didn't have a very high success rate of sticking to my TBR for the month. It was also the first time I'd tried to set myself a TBR for the month, so with that in mind I didn't do TOO badly? I'm counting the DNF one as completed and the currently reading one as not, so that's about a 59% success rate. I'm going to aim for 75% compliance with my March TBR!

Overall, I feel pretty great about my progress on all my challenges for this year! And yes, I KNOW I keep saying "no more challenges!" but MAN, how was I supposed to pass up a challenge geared toward retellings?! I'm hoping I can stack the Retellings Challenge with the Beat the Backlist challenge so I read some of those (often larger!) books off my TBR shelves (and not just all the romances, haha).

December Wrap Up & 2018 My Year In Books

2018 Reading Challenge

Books read in December: 18

I managed to smash my goal out of the park, woo! I'm setting my goal for 2019 significantly lower (at 100 books) because I'm focusing on getting through a lot of thicker and slower reads (like the classics and some weightier epic fantasy novels that have been gathering dust on my shelves), rather than flitting through so many shorter reads (like manga and novellas...)

Progress in December: 6
Total Progress: 32/31

HEY I DID IT! 32 discussion posts just tips me over into the "Terrifically Talkative" Rank, huzzah!

Yeah, so I'm going to knuckle down on this one in 2019, so stay tuned for that...

Monthly Wrap-Up :: November 2018

2018 Reading Challenge

Books read in November: 15

Books read in 2018: 170/175

And now I'm kind of going "Whyyyy did I increase my challenge goal from 150 to 175 again? I could be DONE right now!" hahahahahahahhahaha arrrrghhhh *flumph*

Progress in November: 3
Total Progress: 26/31

So in October I hit my old goal of 21 for the rank of "Chatty Kathy" and subsequently set the bar at the next rank of 31 for "Terrificially Talkative." There's pretty much no way I'm going to do 5 discussion posts in December, but you never know! Maybe I will think of some great things that I just MUST discuss!!

Progress in November??

Total Progress: I've pretty much given up on this one for 2018, and am coming back with renewed vigot in 2019. If you've followed my blog in the past week, I'm limited my challenged in 2019 to ONLY the Beat the Backlist challenge, the Discussion challenge, and the Goodreads challenge. I'm also not doing all the weird limitations I set myself on the BTB challenge in 2018 to make this super hard. (Basically I was trying to clear out my physical TBR pile, and it backfired spectacularly.)

Total Progress: 23/26

Letters remaining: Q, X, Z (The hard ones!) Unless one of the holiday romances I plan to glut myself on in December magically happens to start with one of these remaining letters, I'm going to end up at 23 total... which will still put me at the top rank of DRAGON, mwahahaha!
